Camera Angles, Shots, Movement, Composition In a Movie

I chose the TV show “The Summer I Turned Pretty” the genre is a coming of age, romance drama.

The camera shot used was a two- shot, showing the tension between Belly and Jeremiah after Jeremiah told Belly to check on Conrad to see if he's okay.

A wide shot, showing Belly trying to explain to Conrad what he witnessed and Conrad wanting to be left alone with emotions in the air.

The camera angles I found was a high angle of Conrad finding Belly's infinity necklace, reminding him of many memories they shared together.

The other angle was a low angle when Belly confesses even with everything going on she doesn't regret kissing Jeremiah, symbolizing Jeremiah's reaction while looking at her.

The camera movement used was a handheld, creating personal emotions from Conrad, an exciting feeling of finishing his finals while also about to tell Belly his feelings and then walking in on his brother kissing her.

Another was a pan, going back and forth seeing Conrad, Belly and Jeremiah's reactions of Conrad finding them kissing.

The camera element composition I found was shallow focus showing Jeremiah's anger and curiousness on Belly telling him if she just kissed him to make Conrad jealous with the background blurred focusing on Jeremiah's facial expressions.

I also found deep focus when they had to stop at the gas station, unbearable to be with each other stuck in traffic with a storm.
